Chinese Orchestra Night 优乐华乐演奏会

Hey guys, our Chinese Orchestra Unit will be having our first ever concert on the 20th June 2010, which is a Sunday.

The purpose of this concert mainly is to enable you guys to get to know and understand more of our own Chinese culture and heritage. It can also let you guys to enjoy Chinese traditional music and melodies.

This concert is also held in order to raise fund to purchase the instruments needed as our instruments in our campus are insufficient and limited to our members.

The concert will be presenting varieties of performances, including ensemble "Song of Taiwan"(台湾追想曲）, “The Beautiful Bambusa"（美丽的凤尾竹）, ruan ensemble "The Spanish Waltz", Liu Qin Solo, erhu group performance and so on. This concert not only includes traditional music, but also some more modernized melodies that you may have heard of.

The information of the concert is as followed:

Date : 20th June 2010 (Sunday)
Time : 8.00p.m.
Venue : Heritage Hall, Block A of UTAR Perak Campus
Ticket Price : RM6 (Members)
RM8 (Non-members)
RM12 (Public)
*Bus service will be provided from around 6.00pm to 8.00p.m.

Do come and support our concert as this is our first Chinese Orchestra Concert and hope that you guys will get to know more of our Chinese Orchestra, understand our culture even better and develop more interest among members and students by attending our concert.

After thoughts for the 2 weeks of practices

Hi there. Nice to see you all who have supported this blog and our profile at Facebook, and of course, our Chinese Orchestra.

Firstly, I wish to thank to the members who have come for the practice on Monday although some of you are having class until 8pm. I would also like to apologize for any of my mistake and misunderstood if any to all of you.

It was the second week of practices (not according to sem) and it went quite well, except for those who always come late. I hope for those who come late, please try not to come after the time we start our practices unless you let us know the reason for late coming in advance, so that we would not worry about you, of what happen to you.

I hope that you guys will appreciate music, and also have respect for other members in the group. Please don't hesitate to ask us anything and make yourself like home as we are one family under the Chinese Orchestra. We care and appreciate each other.

I would lastly like to apologize to you all if I did say or do sometin unreasonable during the practice. Do let us know if we had done anything wrong, we learn from mistakes and to improve ourselves.

*Reminder - Please do come for the Practice every week ~~ Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!!! ^^

1st week of weekly practice.

The 1st week of weekly practice is over.
I would like to thanks everyone who participated.
I hope that you all will enjoy it.
I apologize to arrangement and thing which is imperfect.
We learn together in the practice.
Let us learn as much as possible.
The process of learning shuould give benefit to all of us.
It will not be the end of our journey to Chinese Orchestra and music in UTAR.
I wish that we can continue our journey no matter how many hardship is awaiting us.
We won't be able to continue our journey if we didn't start it.
Once again, thank to you all.
Your 1st step make us to continue our journey.
From now on, we will countinue our journey together.

First Practice for Experienced Members

2 February 2010, Monday

We just had our very first practice for experienced members..

Truthly, we expected more members to come and join us..

But seemed like the members were busy? Or maybe they did not notice about this?

We would like to remind all the members that our weekly practice has started..

Monday is practice for experienced members, start at 8pm, venue is C109..

If you are wondering where is our chairman..

Is he an experienced player?

The answer is YES..

And we do not have photos when he was playing his dizi..

Because he was the one who was holding the camera and snapping our photos..

So we took one for him when we finished practice and he was "kemas-ing" the stuff..
